The application immune system of my dreams

The year is 2045. My twenty year old son has a chip in his brain that’s connected to the phone in his pocket that’s connected to the entire world. Every application he accesses. Every game he plays, Every lesson he completes accesses a massive, opaque global software supply chain very few people left alive understand.

I wish I could go back and build a security product to create an immune system for that chip in his head, that phone, those apps. A product that can ensure the whole supply chain behind his digital world was as secure as possible.

I remember now. Twenty years ago, I saw this exact future coming. I had a single, overwhelming wish to have built a product that could act as a true digital immune system for every device and application. A security system that could ensure the integrity of the entire global supply chain, preventing unseen threats in the code from harming my son and billions of others.

Turns out, I don’t need a time machine. It’s actually 2025, I’m Adam, and that’s what we're building today for not just my newborn son, but for every person, device, AI, and soul we connect to the Internet. We call it Staris

Like all good journeys it didn’t start here. It started 30 years ago, in 1997 when I hacked my first computer, from that moment on I was all in on security. This passion eventually led me to found Deja Vu Security, a consulting firm that became renowned for its intensive, manual penetration testing of software and devices. For decades, our teams accumulated thousands of man-hours uncovering vulnerabilities.

But what truly defined Deja Vu Security was our unique approach to talent. We didn't just hire experts; we created them. If a candidate possessed the rare gift of systems thinking—whether they were an aerospace engineer, a physics professor, or a veteran networking admin—and desired a career change, we taught them how to hack. We knew that the ability to model complex systems was the true foundation of elite security work.I sold that company to Accenture.

I saw Artificial Intelligence coming—not as a threat, but as the ultimate human force multiplier. AI when used correctly is fundamentally excellent at systems thinking. It can analyze interconnected components, predict failure points, and model complex environments with a speed and scale that no team of humans could ever match. I gathered a team and we rushed to build Staris because the window to automate security on a planetary scale is closing.

Our first, and flagship, offering is Total Context Product Security.

It takes those decades of late nights and thousands of hours and puts them right in your hands using AI agents that are on 24/7 and work orders of magnitude more efficiently. With Total Context Product Security,  With Total Context Product Security, our audacious, but achievable, goal is to make it literally impossible for your development and DevOps teams to ship insecure code—no matter how rapid or complex your development cycles become. Staris finds the vulnerability, automatically provides the fix, and integrates the remediation so seamlessly that you forget the risk ever existed. It functions exactly like a biological immune system: tireless, constantly adapting, and utterly effective at neutralizing threats before they can cause wide scale damage.

Staris finds it, fixes it, and you forget about it. Just like a digital immune system.

So, why the name Staris?

When I was a kid, I wrote a video game called Staris. The premise was simple, at point in the game you had the power to change the stars above you to determine the state of the world and ultimately your fate in the game. Now, We’re applying that same principle to the digital realm.

Now Staris is changing the stars to determine the fate of all of the world’s compute. Trust me, you want a demo, because candidly the future I see from here is going to be awesome.
